Air Arabia launches additional flights to Jeddah

October 19, 2004
Country: Swaziland
Client(s): Air Arabia
To cater to the increased demand in pilgrim movement during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Air Arabia LLC has scheduled additional flights on its Sharjah to Jeddah route during the month of November. “The amount of bookings from customers during this period increased dramatically over a short period of time. To cater to this increased passenger demand we have scheduled additional flights during this period to meet the needs of people, especially those travelling for Umrah, during this religious period,” said Harish Kutty, Air Arabia’s Head of Planning and Revenue Optimisation. Recently receiving its new Airbus A320 aircraft – bringing the fleet to four aircraft – Air Arabia will be operating additional flights from Sharjah to Jeddah on 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17 and 19 November. All flights depart Sharjah International Airport at 21:30 and arrive in Jeddah at 23:45 local time. To complete the whole travel experience, Air Arabia also offers a coach service, allowing passengers the convenience of stepping off the aircraft into an air conditioned coach that will take them to their home city – whether it is Al Ain, Abu Dhabi or Dubai - at a reasonable cost and vice versa to Sharjah International Airport for their flight. Added Kutty: “We are constantly striving to cater to passenger needs and being an Arab carrier, we are even more sensitive to the needs of people throughout the region this Holy Month.” The Sharjah government-owned airline is currently flying from Sharjah to Aleppo, Alexandria, Assiut, Bahrain, Beirut, Colombo, Damascus, Dammam, Doha, Jeddah, Khartoum, Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh.
