MTC-Vodafone Bahrain celebrates 2nd Grand Prix event
March 24, 2005
MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) is offering customers travelling into Bahrain the opportunity to experience the region’s most innovative mobile services and win a Ferrari Helmet replica autographed by Michael Schumacher. By selecting the MTC-Vodafone network (BHR 2/426 02) to call people back home, in Bahrain or in other countries, customers will automatically start accumulating “raffle tickets”. Each raffle ticket is valued at 5 minutes of outgoing calls or 200 KB of GPRS Data Access. The more raffle tickets accumulated by the customer, the greater the opportunity to win. Mobile customers roaming on MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s network can start accumulating minutes from the 19th of March until the 3rd of April 2005 – when the raffle draw takes place and the name of the lucky winner is announced.
Jawdat Dajani, Senior Marketing Manager at MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) commented: “We are offering visitors coming from across the world, and roaming on our network, the opportunity to enjoy and experience the region’s most advanced mobile services. This offer is quite similar to the special roaming promotion we offered our Grand Prix visitors last year with another exciting prize. Through our partnership with Vodafone we are able to give our international customers great value, great services, great quality, real customer delight - all the time!”
After selecting the MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) (BHR 2/426 02) network, roamers will receive a FREE SMS with more information on how to collect raffle tickets.
“Customers travelling into Bahrain and choosing to roam with MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) (BHR 2/426 02) will start to accumulate talk time minutes or data usage as soon as they are connected to the network. As we bundle the minutes into batches of 5-minutes OR 200 kb of GPRS data access, customers can accumulate numerous opportunities to win our exciting prize. For example, if the customer’s first call is three minutes long and their second is 17 minutes long, adding up to 20 minutes and equalling four raffle tickets. The same applies for GPRS data usage. The accumulating effect will cover the number of days the customer continues to roam with MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain). The only cut off point is when the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix reaches its climax on April 3rd, 2005. The raffle draw will take place at 12pm on April 3rd, where the winner’s name will be announced. We will contact the lucky winner through the mobile number that has accumulated the points,” continued Dajani.
Roamers using MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s network will receive a FREE SMS message each day informing them of the total number of raffle tickets earned.
Alternatively roamers can register onto the company’s website: www.mtc-vodafone.com.bh and view all their raffle tickets and their serial numbers or call our Customer Service Center on 107.
Visitors to Bahrain can enjoy their time at the F1 Grand Prix and stay connected through the international roaming agreements which MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) has signed with over 161 mobile carriers allowing its customers to receive and make calls in 87 countries around the globe. Roamers can also share these precious moments with friends and family members by sending MMS (Multimedia Message Service) via 23 operators covering different areas and countries across the world. eeZee customers coming from Kuwait can benefit from the Middle East’s first Full Prepaid Roaming Services which allows them to make and receive calls and send and receive SMS.
