Careers 2005 to gather major employers in the region

Careers UAE 2004, the largest and most representative event in the Middle East that brings together the cream of national talent and major employers in the region, held under the partonage of His highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Chairman of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has attracted increased interest from all sectors announced organisers DWTC. DWTC has again joined hands with leading educational institutions in the country to further spur the growing partnership between education and industry and boost the spread of Emiratisation in key sectors of the economy. Ongoing cooperation between the DWTC and The National Human Resource Development & Employment Authority (Tanmia), Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University, will better facilitate the flow of the best local talent graduating from the universities and higher institutions to the right slots in both the public and private sector. Interest in Careers 2005, which will be held at the Sheikh Rashid Hall of the DWTC Complex from May 16th to 18th, has grown considerably with a surge in participation from both the private and public sectors. Careers UAE has received extensive support from more than 100 participating companies, including: National Bank of Dubai (Platinum Sponsor), UAE Armed Forces (Gold Sponsor) & HSBC (Silver Sponsor). The increased importance of Emiratisation for private companies is reflected by their representation of 49% of exhibitors, government companies have a presence of 35% and semi-government companies 16%. The companies are taking part in the show in order to tap into the Emirati talent pool – more than 20,000 visitors are expected to attend. “Careers UAE 2005 is making a significant contribution towards National recruitment and offers a wide variety of choice for visitors. Exhibitors are drawn from many sectors including Banking, IT, Media, Insurance, Telecommunications, Tourism, Health and Training,” said Helal Saeed Khalfan Al Marri, Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre. “Careers UAE has become the largest and most comprehensive event of its kind. The show provides genuine opportunities for training and education in terms of career development as well as highlighting job opportunities” added Mr. Al Marri. Alongside the exhibition itself, there will be a packed programme of informative, educational and stimulating activities for all those involved in career development and recruitment. Students, graduates, job seekers, employees, teachers and exhibitors can attend the workshops and debates covering a wide range of topics relating to career opportunities and trends in the UAE.
