DHL upgrades its services in KSA

May 14, 2005
Country: Swaziland
Client(s): DHL
SNAS/DHL Middle East has announced its new weekly schedule using the new Boeing 727 cargo plane. The company will operate the 727 jet among Bahrain, Dubai, Riyadh and Jeddah six days a week which will greatly reduce the transit time for deliveries of documents, parcels and heavyweight shipments, substantially increasing SNAS/DHL's load capacity into KSA. Samir Al-Judaibi, Air Operations and Gateways Manager from SNAS/DHL commented: “SNAS/DHL has been working towards this major step forward for more than a year and we are delighted that our daily flight service is now operational." Al-Judaibi added, “By routing the flights via Dubai we can include shipments from the UAE, making this fast new service even more effective and convenient for our customers in the Kingdom. In addition, the new service gives a tremendous boost to our existing high load lifting capacity to 20 tonnes daily.” Al-Judaibi further commented: “KSA is one of the biggest and most important markets for us in the region and the introduction of the 727 flight services is part of the company’s investment to strengthen and expand its capabilities in anticipation of strong, long term growth in the Kingdom’s express and logistics needs,” Continued Al-Judaibi : As a strategic move to maintain its position as the industry leader and to increase its market share, SNAS/DHL is undertaking major investments to upgrade its services around the Kingdom across all functions, with emphasis on enhancing efficiency and offering logistic solutions to its customers. SNAS/DHL has also recently repainted the Boeing 727 in SNAS/DHL’s striking new colours (red against a yellow background) and logo.
