Qatar Airways participates at Paris Air Show
June 13, 2005
Award-winning Qatar Airways is exhibiting at the high-profile Paris Air Show, being held at Le Bourget Airport in the French capital.
More than 250,000 people are expected to attend the event, one of the most prestigious on the aviation industry calendar.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker will be leading a large delegation of airline officials from head office in Doha to the show.
The airline will showcase its fine hospitality with a two-tier chalet draped in its burgundy corporate colours.
The chalet features a hospitality seating area on the ground floor with a garden terrace backing onto the airfield, together with an upper floor VIP lounge and meeting area.
Qatar Airways is among hundreds of exhibitors – comprising aircraft, engine, military jet and helicopter manufacturers – participating throughout the week.
Al Baker said he was delighted that Qatar Airways was once again taking part in the event, following the success of the airline’s participation at the Paris Air Show in 2003.
“The Paris Air Show is regarded as one of the top aviation industry events of the year and we are pleased to be able to use this opportunity to showcase our hospitality to visitors.
“We look forward to a highly productive week as it will be a perfect opportunity to network with existing business partners and build new relationships.”
Earlier this month, Qatar Airways held onto the coveted Skytrax Five Star award for excellence, service and high standards, being one of only four airlines in the world – and the only Middle East carrier – to earn such an illustrious accolade.
The airline’s cabin crew retained their award-winning status by being named Best in the Middle East for the third year running, while maintaining their position as being among the top five inflight crew in the world.
And the carrier was recognised in the Skytrax survey for having the Best First Class and Business Class in the Middle East.
