Standard Chartered ties up with Al-Futtaim Electronics

Standard Chartered has joined hands with Al-Futtaim Electronics, part of Dubai’s Al-Futtaim Group, to offer its card members unbeatable discounts on a range of top-brand electronic goods. “Standard Chartered is the UAE’s market leader in credit cards and this event is designed to reinforce our position by rewarding existing card members with exclusive discounts,” said Jeremy Awori, Head of Consumer Banking, Standard Chartered UAE. “Our credit card products are designed to meet specific customer needs, but the bank is always looking at ways to add value and offer additional benefits.” The event – organised exclusively for Standard Chartered Credit Card members – will see discounts of up to 60 per cent on 20,000 products that include laptops, mobile phones, digital cameras and PDAs, along with Al-Futtaim Electronics’ complete range of Panasonic, Dell, Toshiba, Sanyo, and Aftron products. Al-Futtaim Electronics plans to donate part of the profits from the sale to Standard Chartered’s international charity, Seeing is Believing, which aims to restore sight of one million people by the end of 2006.
