Tatweer obtains ISO certification

Tatweer, the company with a dynamic portfolio of Dubai Holding companies has won the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification for a wide range of its activities.
The ISO 9001:2000 certification was awarded on December 8th 2005 for seven key aspects of its operations. These include its Shared Operational Services, Human Resources, Finance, Strategy, Procurement and Admin, Information Technology and Government Relations.
“We are extremely pleased to have obtained the international ISO certification. We have always said we are building world-class institutions and this claim has been supported by the grant of the global certification that recognizes and acknowledges that Tatweer is in full compliance with international norms,” said Saeed Al Muntafiq, CEO of Tatweer.
Tatweer owns and manages Dubai Healthcare City, Dubailand, Global Village, Bawadi, Dubai Industrial City, Dubai Energy, Moutamarat, and Dubai Mercantile Exchange.
Dubai Healthcare City, was recently honored with the 2006 Dubai Quality Award in the health category in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry.
Internationally Accredited External auditors visited Tatweer headquarters and conducted a comprehensive functional audit. Auditors examined all of Tatweer business and quality systems, including internal processes, documentation practices, and measurement systems for tracking customer satisfaction and supplier performance.
"ISO registration supports our pursuit of continuous improvement and an on-going commitment to provide our customers assurance of quality service,” said Al Muntafiq.
He pointed out that the ISO 9001:2000 certification provides an excellent fit to Tatweer’s core values and its comprehensive Quality Policy. Al Muntafiq emphasized that the award of the ISO 9001:2000 certification is only a step at the starting of the journey of continuous business excellence.
ISO 9000 is an internationally recognized quality management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certification process ensures ongoing compliance because, once certified, companies are externally audited every six months.
