Air Miles bolsters regional partner network
June 29, 2006
Air Miles, the Middle East’s only true multi-participant coalition loyalty programme, will expand its partner network to more than 160 brands by the year end, as it rolls out its regional expansion programme.
Having already added 12 new partners in Qatar including FCUK, Monsoon, Hush Puppies, Shoe City and Costa Coffee, Air Miles expects to sign up a further 35 brands in the GCC as it prepares to launch in Bahrain later this year. In addition, at least three anchor brands are expected to join the programme in the UAE.
“The expansion of our participant portfolio reflects the impressive growth of the Middle East’s retail segment and highlights the confidence our customers have in Air Miles,” said Dave Battiston, CEO, Rewards Management Middle East (RMMEL), the company behind Air Miles in the region.
The latest addition to Air Miles’ partner network in the UAE and Qatar is Emax, the electronics retail chain of the Landmark group and one of the region’s fastest growing multi-product, multi-brand electronics stores.
“As the Middle East’s premier loyalty programme, Air Miles has a reputation of profitably changing customer behaviour for its members and we are confident we will deliver an unparalleled shopping experience to Emax customers across the region,” added Battiston.
Emax will issue an opening bonus offer of Double Air Miles at all their outlets. Emax customers can use their Air Miles card at its stores at Centrepoint, Trade Centre Road, Dubai and Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi and at its newly launched outlet at Asmakh Mall, Qatar.
Shivam Goyal, Deputy General Manager at Emax said: “Emax is the only chain of electronics stores offering Air Miles in the UAE and Qatar, where customers can choose from a wide range of exciting products. While existing Emax customers holding Air Miles cards will benefit immediately, we look forward to welcoming more Air Miles card holders to Emax shops."
