Trapeze Networks unveils aggressive expansion plan in Middle East

May 02, 2007
Country: Swaziland
Client(s): Trapeze Networks
Trapeze Networks has announced that it has implemented an aggressive expansion initiative in the Middle East in line with the company's aim of bringing its industry-leading products to new markets. With the move, Trapeze Networks is poised to achieve deeper market penetration as demand for the ground-breaking Trapeze Smart Mobile technology and other products has significantly increased in the Middle East. Trapeze Networks has also appointed Feras Zeidan as Regional Manager in the Middle East and Africa as part of the company's expansion strategy. Zeidan brings to Trapeze 14 years of experience with the biggest IT companies in the region. "A key factor in our increased activity in the Middle East is the rapid pace of its growth. Enterprises here have been aggressively adopting new technologies to boost their economic performance and Trapeze Networks is eager to bring to these enterprises technological solutions that offer unrivalled benefits. The appointment of Feras Zeidan is another key move in our expansion strategy. Mr. Zeidan's extensive background in IT and his wide market experience in the region perfectly fit the job's profile. We are confident that he will deliver the desired results for Trapeze," said Kees Van Veenendaal, General Manager and Vice President of Sales, EMEA, Trapeze Networks The Trapeze Smart Mobile is a pioneering approach to wireless networking that enables organizations to deploy massively scalable mobile applications that leverage their existing infrastructure. Smart Mobile achieves this breakthrough by introducing intelligent switching, the first and only WLAN architecture that optimizes network traffic based on the underlying application. "A perpetual challenge in the Middle East market is the need to constantly adjust or adapt to rapidly evolving technology. With Smart Mobile intelligent switching, organizations can support the most demanding next-generation wireless applications in an unprecedented scale. The technologies developed by Trapeze offer long-term value to various business enterprises, which will ultimately ensure Trapeze's status as the region's highly preferred solutions provider over the years," said Zeidan. Among the sophisticated wireless applications that can be deployed through the Smart Mobile platform is toll-quality voice over WLAN for thousands of users, seamless indoor and outdoor mobility, and high-speed networks based on 802.11n — all without requiring expensive forklift upgrades. The expansion in the Middle East further extends Trapeze Networks' global market presence as it already has established operations in Europe, Japan and Asia-Pacific. Trapeze Networks' expansion initiatives are well-capitalized with strategic investments from networking industry leaders such as Juniper Networks, Motorola and Nortel Networks. Trapeze Networks vital partnership with EMW has also highly facilitated the wireless solutions provider emergence in the Middle East market. Founded in March 2002 and headquartered in Pleasanton, California, Trapeze has been the recipient of eleven industry awards, including InfoWorld's Technology of the Year award for the best WLAN solution in recognition of its product and technology strength.
