Mindware has announced on the sidelines of its GITEX participation, the signing of a major distribution agreement with Exinda Networks, a leading provider of Unified Performance Management (UPM) solutions worldwide. The deal will help Exinda develop its distribution channel in the MENA region, while also expanding Mindware’s fast-growing portfolio. Mindware distributes high quality information technology products for data protection, storage, disaster recovery, security, network management and more. Its extensive portfolio includes leading global brands, such as Microsoft, Computer Associates and Network General, reaching to more than 4,500 resellers throughout the Middle East and North Africa region. The company, which recorded revenues of US$ 190 million in 2006, covers the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Cyprus and North Africa. “It was an easy choice to become a distributor of Exinda products,” said Ziad Yousef, business unit manager for Mindware. “Exinda and Mindware share common values of providing high quality products and excellent customer service. We anticipate high demand for Exinda products because of its comprehensive and effective approach to solving application performance problems with Unified Performance Management.” Exinda’s UPM solutions combine WAN optimization, application acceleration, network visibility, application response time measurement onto a single appliance to achieve predictable application performance over wide area networks. According to analyst firm IDC, the total worldwide market WAN application delivery will reach US$ 920 million by 2011. “Exinda is the only vendor in the region to provide Unified Performance Management, a key differentiator and critical functions for solving poor network and application performance,” said Steven Brown, vice president of sales for India, Middle East and Africa for Exinda Networks. “With high demand for our solutions, Mindware and its channel partners have a great business opportunity. Exinda is committed to making our partners successful by providing the necessary training, technical support and leads.” Exinda Networks, which conducts all of its business via channel partners, is actively recruiting distributor and reseller partners. The company’s partner program includes training, certification, deal registration, lead generation, joint marketing programs and extensive support on product evaluations. Channel partners find the Exinda partner program attractive because the products provide high margins and are easy to use. Pent up demand for WAN optimization also means shorter sales cycles. Exinda Networks has helped numerous organizations throughout the Middle East reserve bandwidth and accelerate critical applications, block peer-to-peer and recreational network traffic and reduce network operating costs. Exinda customers in the Middle East include Leo Burnett MENA, GASCO, St. Joseph’s University and more.
