Trapeze Networks' Smart Mobile helps hotel and resort chain boost client satisfaction

September 30, 2007
Country: Swaziland
Client(s): Trapeze Networks
Trapeze Networks, the award-winning global provider of Smart Mobile wireless solutions, has announced that Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City, part of the fast-growing Rezidor Hotel Group, has been awarded the ACN Award 2007 in the hospitality sector during a ceremony held recently at the Madinat Jumeirah, earning industry-wide recognition for its seamless adoption of Trapeze Networks’ Smart Mobile solutions. Radisson SAS commissioned East Meets West (EMW), the leading supplier of services and products in the telecommunication, ICT, engineering and project management sectors, to implement the Trapeze Networks solutions in its Dubai Media City hotel. The technology upgrade formed part of a strategic plan to improve employee performance and boost customer satisfaction through Smart Mobile's seamless integration of hospitality applications and devices. “Trapeze Networks believes that hospitality is an important sector in the UAE and that it continues to expand rapidly. We are looking forward to supporting the hospitality sector by being the premier provider of quality integrated solutions,” said Feras Zeidan, Regional Manager, Trapeze Networks. Trapeze Networks and EMW implemented the Smart Mobile technology in just three weeks, rolling out the entire system without interrupting day-to-day operations or inconveniencing the guests of the hotel. The Smart Mobile solutions provided full compatibility with all hotel applications, fitting very well with the existing IT infrastructure by complete integration with Avaya and Cisco IP Telephony. “We are thankful to Trapeze Networks and EMW for providing us a comprehensive networking solution, which also included suitable training to all our hotel staff. By seamlessly integrating new services like internet access anywhere within the premises, Trapeze Networks has helped increase guest satisfaction, while boosting staff efficiency and savings such as in GSM costs in locating any hotel staff on move. The improvements brought about by Trapeze Networks’ Smart Mobile solution have been critical to winning the ACN Award,” said Siegfried Nierhaus, General Manager, Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City. The ACN Award aims to recognise professionals and organizations who have worked to deliver added value to their business by taking advantage of appropriate technology. Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City was cited for undertaking the project without letting its guests feel there is any work going on around them. "We are pleased to have contributed to the success of Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City. In collaboration with Trapeze Networks, EMW is looking forward to implement the Smart Mobile technology to the rest of the Radisson SAS hotels and resorts," concluded Serjios EL-Hage, Regional Vice President, EMW.
