Trapeze Networks launches wireless LAN road show in Saudi

December 10, 2007
Country: Saint Pierre and Miquelon
Client(s): Trapeze Networks
Trapeze Networks, the award-winning wireless connectivity provider, has recently kicked off a series of seminars on wireless local area network (WLAN) technology throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to complement KSA’s aggressive ICT adoption process. A large turnout distinguished the first seminar, held at the Le Meridian Hotel in Khobar on Saturday, December 08, 2007, while another two seminars are being held today (Monday, December 10, 2007) at the Holiday Inn Riyadh, as well as at the Westin Jeddah on December 12. The Seminars’ Chief Presenter is Dr. Peter Dahl, Channel Training Manager of Trapeze in the EMEA region, who will be discussing Trapeze’s WLAN technology, including the ‘intelligent switching’ architecture. This technology enables customers to combine both centralized and distributed data forwarding based on the needs of the underlying application, resulting in an optimized traffic flow, peak performance and massive scalability to support advanced wireless applications. The Road Show is being held only weeks after Trapeze signed a partnership agreement with Gulf Gaihab International (GGI), that will see GGI become Trapeze's value-added distributor in KSA. The deal is expected to further enhance Trapeze Networks' coverage of the Saudi market through GGI's broad customer base. Dr. Peter Dahl is a seasoned network engineer who was formerly a voting member of the IEEE’s 802.11 Working Group on wireless local area network standards.
