Emirates NBD launches new online payment options for utility bills across the emirates

Emirates NBD, the holding company of Emirates Bank and National Bank of Dubai, announced the introduction of 3 new online payment services across the UAE to settle utility bills for Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) and Empower. Customers can settle their ADDC, AADC and EMPOWER bills through ATMs, CDMs, and online banking channels. Emirates NBD is also planning payment via SMS for ADDC and AADC bills. Mr. Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Emirates NBD General Manager Consumer Finance and Wealth Management commented, “We are delighted to offer our customers the easiest methods to settle their bill payments and this message is now reinforced with the introduction of our electronic payment services for ADDC, AADC for customers residing in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Also, our newly introduced Empower bill payment service further fortifies our extensive list of online payment services for Dubai-based companies. Emirates NBD continues to partner with governmental bodies to facilitate electronic transactions region per region and across all Emirates.” ADDC, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, provides services like distributing Water and Electricity to the consumers in the district of Abu Dhabi and the Western region. AADC, Al Ain Distribution Company, is responsible for the sale and distribution of water and electricity. AADC provides services to 100,000 customers throughout the eastern portion of the Emirates of Abu Dhabi. The water and electricity sector is under the overall control of the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA). Empower was created with the objective of providing world class District Cooling Services (DCS) to Dubai in general, and Dubai Holding Properties, in particular. Empower is keen to promote energy-efficient practices that will be key to its future progress. Mr. Mohammed Saif Al Falasi, Emirates NBD Head of Alternative Channels commented on the recently added payment channels saying, “Emirates NBD continues to research ways of offering value-added services to the UAE society by constantly upgrading its advanced electronic banking channels.”
