AUST starts new academic year by launching a new website

September 07, 2008
Country: Swaziland
Client(s): Ajman University of Science & Technology

Thamer Salman, vice-president for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and chairman of committee of Information, Mass Communication and Promotion in Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST), launched the newly designed University's website. The launching click took place in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Vice-President for External Relations and Cultural Affairs, Eng. Mohammed Salman, General Manager of Information Technology, and members of Information, Mass Communication and Promotion's committee.

Commenting on this event, Thamer Salman said:" the newly launched website is one of the many fruits of the Reform and Development Process led by H.E. Dr. Saeed Salman. It aims at consolidating interactivity in a virtual cyber environment, and paving the way to the Futuristic University". He added: "what characterizes most this website is its simplicity and rapidity in providing any visitor with the required information, be it a student, faculty member, or administrative staff (intranet), or any researcher or visitor from outside the University (internet). In addition to the normal data and information needed, we have made all our new publications- such as the University catalog and student handbook- available to students, faculty and all other visitors. We have also prepared two questionnaires, one designed for students, and the other for faculty members to get their feedback and, hence, make interactivity come true".

It is worth mentioning that the content will be updated twice a year.
