Orascom Telecom and Nokia cooperate to provide ground-breaking mobile services to consumers

Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E. ("Orascom Telecom") and Nokia today announced a cooperation to accelerate the adoption of new, cutting-edge mobile services based on the Ovi services platform provided by Nokia. The agreement will enable Orascom Telecom customers to enjoy one of the best Internet services available today on a wide range of Nokia devices in a simple and intuitive way. The Ovi services will progressively be offered to all Orascom Telecom customers in its countries of operation. As part of the collaboration, Nokia devices will provide easy access to both companies' selected services, such as Nokia Maps, Nokia N-Gage and music, with more exciting services to follow. Nokia and Orascom Telecom will further enhance the collaboration on mobile Internet services to reinforce the two companies' leadership positions in the market. Naguib Sawiris, Chairman and CEO of Orascom Telecom said: “Orascom Telecom has consistently proved its ability to successfully roll out leading-edge mobile services. Today, we are excited to announce this agreement with Nokia, which will allow us to bring to the market innovative services that will truly improve the mobile experience of our customers.”
