In another pioneer move to expand Ma’an Development Company’s investment portfolio and to further cultivate the Industrial Park and stimulate economic and social development in the South of Jordan, an agreement was signed between Ma’an Development Company (MDC) and Ready Mix Concrete & Construction Supplies Co. (RMCCS) to establish a Ready Mix, brick and interlock tile factory in the Industrial Park of the Ma’an Development Area (MDA). The investment agreement signed by Mr. Raja Al-Alami, GM of RMCCS and Mr. Mohammed Turk, CEO of MDC, outlines the establishment of a Ready Mix, brick and interlock tile factory to be built over an area of 13,500 square meters with an investment value of 2 million JOD. The factory that is expected to be operational by the end of the 1st quarter of 2009 will create additional job opportunities within the community, further contributing to the economic development of Ma’an. As it will also serve the requirements and meet the needs of the construction sector in the Ma’an Development Area, the govern ate of Ma’an, and the South of Jordan in general.
