The US$1 million Dubai Tennis Championships attracts many of the world's top male and female players to the city's impressive Tennis Stadium. The tournament incorporates both Men's ATP Tour and Women's WTA Tour events, featuring both singles and doubles competitions.

Women's: 16-21 Feb
Expect Russian Elena Dementieva to be back to defend her 2008 crown.

Men's: 23-28 Feb
Expect Andy Roddick, 2008's winner, to also return, with a men's field that is wider open than in recent years, with the likes of Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray also chasing the world's top two mens' players Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
