The much vaunted global economic slowdown did not manifest itself at the 11th edition of Intersec trade fair and conference, as attendance crossed 17,200, an increase of 20% from the previous show.

Trade visitors from almost 100 countries networked at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, from January 18 - 20, 2009. 710 exhibitors from 50 countries occupied a gross floor area of 38,200 square metres showcasing more than 2,000 brands and the latest products across all industries related to security and safety.

Intersec 2009 integrated all aspects of security and safety including, Commercial Security, Homeland Security and Policing, Fire and Rescue, Safety & Health at the world’s most comprehensive trade-only event.

This year, Intersec 2009 welcomed His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority who officially inaugurated the event.
