Site is violated by Pakistani-based group of hackers; remains offline for several hours.

Google Morocco was successfully hacked and held hostage for several hours on Saturday  by members of Pakistani-based forum, Pakbugs.com

According to online technology site techcrunch.com it is not clear exactly how the site was hacked but it is believed the hackers found a way into NIC.ma, which controls domain names in the country.

The hackers then specifically targeted Google, and pointed its domain to a different server with the web page pictured above.

The substitute web site was signed CyberCriminal, and the web site address PAKbugs.com displayed.

Pakbugs.com leads to a forum for Pakistan hackers, although there is no mention of the Google Morocco hack on the web site.

Google responded to the attack by first relaying visitors from Morocco to its U.S. service google.com, before restoring google.co.ma several hours later.
