FlyDubai unveils Indian routes

By Peter Harrison

The recently launched budget carrier FlyDubai will begin flying to three destinations in India on July 13, bringing the number of routes served to eight since it launched on June 1, the airline said on Wednesday.

The first flight will be to Lucknow in the northeast of the country, followed the next day by flights to Coimbatore, in the south, and Chandigarh in the northwest on July 23.

The Lucknow route will operate four times a week, while the Coimbatore service will be thrice-weekly, and Chandigarh will be served daily.

The three destinations will be served by FlyDubai's fleet of Boeing 737-800s, which will reach six by the end of the year. The airline aims to operate 50 aircraft by 2016.

The airline already flies to Beirut, Amman, Damascus and Alexandria, and recently added Aleppo, Syria to its list of destinations.

The company plans to service 14 to 16 destinations by year-end.

Instead of flying to the north if Fly Dubai plan flew South, it will be far better - cities like Trichi, Chennai, Cichin and Calicut.

Also I suggest Fly Dubai management to have a thought for Bangalore and Goa.
