Fire Chief at National Industrialization Company (Tasnee)

Description :
Responsible to carry out TASNEE complex’s Loss Control Section occupational, health and safety activities in identifying and assessing potential fire and safety risks within plant facilities and coordinate implementation for immediate mitigation and control measures. 1.Reports directly to Loss Control Section – Superintendent. 2.Carry out a risk assessment of the facilities (buildings, process’s equipment and structures) for probable emergency risks and audit any available installed fire protection system (active and passive) for appropriate fire safety and loss prevention engineering principle application. 3.Carry out modeling and assessment of fire, explosion, vapor cloud and gas dispersions of the TASNEE inventories and come up with a recommendation proposal to reduce the detrimental impact to business. 4.Carry out engineering design, calculation reviews and approval for specific submittals pertaining to fire protection installations that is to be provided within TASNEE. 5.Provide prescriptive interpretation of the code and standards that requires compliance by the engineering discipline in application. 6.Develop and recommend fire safety standards, codes and procedures that shall become part of the operating instructions of the company. 7.Continuously evaluate new technological developments and equipments to keep up-to-date on the devices and techniques designed to eliminate or minimize hazards and determine whether these developments and techniques are applicable for the organization. 8.Implementing applicable fire safety requirements and specifications to third parties as deemed necessary by the company. 9.To form part Loss Control Section specialized discipline representation and contribute in incident / accident investigation activities and risk assessment programs within TASNEE. 10.Provide operational support to the Fire Chief during emergency responses within the TASNEE facility.

Job Skills :
Adept with the relevant requirements of the various codes, standards and regulation; e.g. Emergency Response Guide (ERG), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), American Petroleum Institute (API), Occupational Health and Safety Association (OSHA), Safety and Security Directive (SSD) of the local civil defense - Keep track and updated with the development of new fire fighting methodology and technology that can be applicable for use by the business. - Good written and verbal command of the English language and Arabic language will be an advantage. - Computer literate to be able to cope with the department report and documentation requirements. - Has awareness OHSAS 18001- Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series management system, ISO 14001- Environmental Management System and ISO 9000 - Quality Management System
