Job Purpose - Senior member of the network operations team. Technical Architecture and Design of network management systems and projects. Leading within the technical design and implementations on projects, providing principal network management consultancy. You will architect, design and document network Management solution that meets the defined requirements for projects and define technical solutions for assigned elements as part of the System Integration & network team. This role will require the candidate to work with team/individually to design and define solutions and carry out Design reviews. Accountabilities •Installation and basic troubleshooting of network appliances. •Initial problem definition and troubleshooting by using diagnostic methods like ping, trace route etc. •Maintaining wireless network to ensure remote access to end clients. •To contribute to the operations of network infrastructure to ensure absolute uptime • Provide control, monitoring and remote maintenance service for the network as prescribed by the relevant service level agreements. • Recording and responding to faults as reported via the case management system, the remote management and fault-reporting tools such as CiscoWorks • Diagnose problems and remotely fix them within the SLA or if necessary notify senior engineers to attend site. • Provide statistics reports to the Operations Manager •When required, visit customer sites to conduct surveys or provide 2nd line assistance. •Root Cause analysis in problem management for service interruption and recovery •Proactive monitoring of the network management applications to prevent any disaster from happening. •Monitoring helpdesk system and taking first action on a ticket related to network infrastructure •Act as a mentor to the junior engineers and assist then in there tasks •Assign new tasks the network engineers •Project design and implementations •Scheduling of network tasks and distributing as per the expertise of the network personel

Job Skills :
• Educated to degree level or higher in engineering or communications technology – essential • Minimum 4 years experience - Essential • Industry Certifications like CCNP, CCVP, CCSP – highly desirable Test team leading experience, including one role of leading a team of 5+ staff – Desirable • Experience of project planning using Microsoft Project or similar planning tool - essential • Experience of projects involving multiple suppliers using varying delivery and test approaches – essential • Proven experience in an industry standard Test Management and Defect Management tool, e.g. Cisco Works,- essential • Understanding of Problem, Change, Release and Configuration Management processes - essential • Experience of test tools for automation and performance monitoring – highly desirable.
