Description :
Audit Director is a key position in an office and your main objective is to manage a portfolio of low risk clients reporting to the office managing partner. This is a quasi-partner position in terms of risk management and signing authority, managing client relationships, maximise fee opportunities and recovery from portfolio and development of people.
Your client responsibilities:
• Deliver value to the client by providing knowledge, ideas and solutions for improving the business.
• Secure and enhance relationships with senior client management.
• Assign teams that will meet and exceed the clients' expectations in standards of service and client care.
• Develop and maintain an appropriate external network of business contacts.
• Demonstrate professionalism and competence in all interactions with the client.
• Be recognized as a leader and a role model in the business unit.
Your people responsibilities - as a team leader you will:
• Counsel, coach and mentor staff.
• Appraise staff in a constructive and timely manner and ensure your team members do the same.
• Manage the execution of the Professional Development Plans of your people to build their careers.
• Live EY shared cultures and values at all times and encourage team members to do the same.
• Manage a team of between 10-15 people including managers, seniors and staff.
Operational Excellence:
• Ensure engagements are executed in accordance with EY Global Audit Methodology, professional standards, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
• Review work in accordance with the firm's policies on a timely basis and in a thorough and constructive manner.
• Lead and coordinate the planning and management of assignments in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ensure the technical correctness and presentational standard of all client deliverables.
• Manage risk to the firm by adhering to the risk management policies and procedures and ensuring significant risks are identified.
• Liaise with other service lines to ensure efficient utilisation of knowledge and resources to deliver services.
• Manage the delivery of other services to designated clients, where appropriate.
• Manage a stand-alone business unit with responsibility for the unit achieving its financial targets
• Responsible for, or a significant influence over, recruitment, promotions, and termination.
Job Skills :
We are looking for the candidates with the following:
• A qualified accountant - ideally ACA, CPA, ACCA with IFRS and ISA experience
• At least 5 years proven track record as an Audit Manager.
• Experience of managing a team that delivers solutions to clients, and managing a budget.
• A mature and flexible personality and the ability to build and work with teams.
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience in a Big Four professional services firm would be an advantage.
• Entry from Non-Big 4 Firm: Partner or Audit Director level
• Entry from Big 4 Firm: Audit Director or Senior Manager
