PROJECT HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER (HIGH RISE CONSTRUCTION) QATAR Salary Negotiable Having been established in the Middle East for 2 years now, Reed have built up an enviable client base of developers, consultancies, constructors and contractors. In order to support the expansion of the Health and Safety function for one of our distinguished Clients, a leading international construction and property consultancy with major projects commencing across the region, we require a Project Health and Safety Manager. The role will report to the Corporate Health and Safety Director to provide Management Systems support to projects, to ensure Corporate, Project and Client Health and Safety requirements are met, and that National and International standards are complied with. The main function of the role will be to establish the project Health and Safety Management System documentation in accordance with Health and Safety Management System requirements. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; •Planning of all Health and Safety activities in conjunction with the project leader / project manager. •Preparation of project processes and procedures in line with the Health and Safety requirements. •Review sub-contractor Health and Safety plans, method statement, risk assessment •Establish and maintain Health and Safety records related to the project. •Work closely with other Health and Safety Managers to receive and implement ideas for continual improvement of the HSEMS and achievement of Best Practice. Successful applicants will have relevant qualifications in a Health and Safety field and have 8+ years of solid construction experience. They will also have extensive knowledge in the management of Project Health and Safety / Business Systems, as well as an appreciation of the related skills of environmental management.
