Role Summary/Purpose
Essential Responsibilities
. MDS Engineer position is to perform Rotating and Reciprocating Machinery Diagnostics jobs at Customerï?½s site. The job also includes configuration and optimization of Bently Nevada Softwareï?½s for their effective usage.ï?½ Perform Data Collection Analysis & Report preparation for machinery problem diagnostics.ï?½ Configure and optimize Bently Nevada softwareï?½s at Customer/s site.ï?½ Perform Remote Machinery and System Audit using Remote Access Service.ï?½ Assure the job is executed in a timely manner and in accordance with the customerï?½s schedule.ï?½ Identify problems and take the initiative to eliminate those problems for project success.
Qualifications/Requirements
ï?½ Minimum four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited college or university, Mechanical Engineering back round.ï?½ Must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience working in Energy and/or Oil & Gas industries in field maintenance of turbo machinery/vibration analysis diagnostics.ï?½ Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personal.ï?½ Ability to work under stressful working conditions.ï?½ Good computer skills using MS Operating Systems, specifically Windows 2003 Server & application S/W such as MS office, Access etc.,ï?½ Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills. ï?½Hand-on approachï?½.ï?½ Knowledge of various type of rotating machines.ï?½ Process knowledge of power plants (coal & gas based), refineries, petrochemical plant, etc.ï?½ Knowledge of ADRE, DM2000, MCH 2000 & System 1 or other diagnostic tools

ï?½ B.E. ( Mechanical Engineering ) from an accredited college or university.ï?½ Experience in maintenance or condition monitoring of rotating and reciprocating machines including centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps etc.ï?½ Good understanding of machinery behavior and problems.ï?½ Knowledge of other Asset Management techniques such as Lube oil analysis, Thermography, Alignment etc will be given preference.ï?½ Ability to use Data collection instrumentation & softwareï?½s such as ADRE, DM2000, MCH 2000, System 1 & Snapshot.
