Stress-free commuting on board RTA buses

August 27, 2009
Country: UAE
Client(s):

Commuting across Dubai might become more fun than driving your own car! The new public transportation system launched by the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) offers many benefits that will save your time, energy and money!

With routes spanning Dubai city and bus-stops only 200-300 meters apart, Dubai residents can now roam the city with much ease and comfort. Additionally, RTA’s buses depart every 10 to 15 minutes, enabling passengers to plan their appointments in accordance with bus schedules. This also reduces waiting time and ensures passengers comfort.

On the other hand, using public buses relieves you from the stress of driving early in the morning or late after a hectic day at work. Passengers can make a better use of their time; reading a favorite book, listening to music or socializing with others. Or quite simply enjoying the scenery on both sides of the road!

Using public transportation is also very cost-effective. With the unified payment system using prepaid cards (NOL), using RTA buses proves to be much cheaper than taking a taxi. It is also cheaper on the long-run than buying your own car, and the resulting costs of fuel and maintenance.

Speaking on the sidelines of the campaign launched by the Road and Transport Authority (RTA), Mr. Essa Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, CEO of RTA's Public Transport Agency said: ‘The campaign highlights the benefits of public transport buses and aims to attract more passengers. RTA is keen on equipping these buses with the latest technologies that ensure passengers safety and security, and on-going communication with the Agency’s operations control unit. The campaign is part of RTA’s strategy, which aligns with the vision of Dubai to become a key player on the local, regional and global levels.’
