TheForeign Military Sales (FMS) contract for design logistics was awarded by the U.S. Army TACOMLifecycle Management Command for the Royal Saudi Land Forces. General Dynamics Land Systems is abusiness unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD).
This contract is an addition to a $58 millioncontract awarded to General Dynamics in 2008 to design, develop, convert, implement and test ahybrid configuration of the M1A1, M1A2 and M1A2 System Enhancement Package (SEP) tank variants. TheM1A2S vehicles will possess defined capabilities that increase lethality while limitingobsolescence. The work will be performed in Sterling Heights.
