Companies in the Middle East involved in electrical and electronics fields are invited to take part in the ELECRAMA 2010 exhibition to be held in Mumbai and take advantage of an multi-billion dollar opportunity to network and benefit from the stated goal of “Power for All by 2012,” by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
India’s demand for power in the next 10 years is likely to soar to about 3,35 GW by 2017. This has necessitated a scope for greater capacity additions and a plethora of distribution projects - across high voltage sub stations, HVDC projects, automation engineering projects and EPC.
ELECRAMA-2010, organized by the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA), will take place from January 20-24, 2010 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
ELECRAMA-2010 is a biennial trade exhibition on industrial electrical and electronics equipment. The ELECRAMA expo now entering into its 9th edition is organized by IEEMA (which has to its credit over two decades of experience of handling this expo). The expo presents a common platform showcasing power equipment manufactures – switchgear, transformers, cable, conductors, winding wires right up to the segment of power electronics and design & consultancy.
The Ministry of Power, India is poised for a total capacity addition of 78,577 MW as planned for the XIth Five-Year Plan (2007-12) which should result in substantial investments in the power generation sector. ELECRAMA brings together participants from Europe, America, ASEAN and Middle East – to explore opportunities in technology partnership, open up investment opportunities and eventually add value to their business portfolio.
The future of Power business is aptly amplified by this world’s largest E&E expo which in the past had generated trade enquiries estimated at about US$ 900 million (including orders, joint ventures, strategic investments, supply contracts, brand sales & other trade opportunities). “ELECRAMA is a dynamic and future-ready movement and not just an expo. It has become the world's largest T&D congregation which integrates generations, transmission & distribution companies across multiple geographies” said Raj Eswaran, Chairman of organizing committee ELECRAMA-2010. This expo will offer the best of products and services spanning the voltage spectrum from low voltage to 1,200 kV technology.
“Amidst a global economic downturn, India has an expected growth rate of 8 per cent, currently the highest projection for any world economy. If power biz companies & infrastructure experts are not at ELECRAMA, India, it will mean a loss of a big business opportunity”, added S.P. More, Director General of IEEMA. The trade exhibition is approved by the Indian Trade Promotion Organization and supported by the Ministry of Power. IEEMA has organized eight successful editions of ELECRAMA over the last 15 years ELECRAMA is approved by UFI and is ISO certified.
The five-day exhibition span over an area of more than 60,000 sq.m and is expected to host 1,000 exhibitors and 50,000 business visitors from 40 countries, who would have an opportunity to make strategic alliances and collaborations worth billions of dollars. In addition, there will be country pavilions from Germany, Spain, China, Taiwan, Turkey, Spain, France and Korea.
Future – ready Tech Conferences at ELECRAMA 2010:
ELECRAMA-2010 provides some of the most comprehensive platforms for discussion and presentation on what is the cutting edge in today's technology. The parallel technical conferences as part of the expo include TRAFOTECH-2010 (18th & 19th January 2010) - provides Transformer Manufacturers and Users, a common platform to review the recent advances and futuristic trends; TECH-IT-2010 (21st & 22nd January 2010) – for Manufacturers, R&D experts related to maintenance, applications and proper selection of Instrument Transformers; and CAPACIT-2010 (21st & 22nd January 2010) provides Capacitor Manufacturers, Users, Consultants, Researchers, Practicing Engineers and Designers a common platform to review recent advances and futuristic trends.
ELECRAMA promises to be a forum to reenergize the very core of future-ready power sector companies, technology experts and the infrastructure sector at large – towards a sustainable and integrated global energy business!
