Global Launch of Cutting-Edge Shipping Technology to take place at SITL Dubai 2009

Trailer and self propelled vehicle manufacturer leader, Gaussin Manugistique, plans to hold a global launch of an innovative new Automotive Terminal Trailer (ATT) during SITL Dubai 2009, 3-5 November 2009, taking place in Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center. 

The engineering company, a specialist in wheeled handling systems, will take the opportunity to showcase its latest hardware, a self propelled machine combining both a truck with connection and semi trailer, to the world. The cutting-edge technology will help container operators’ increase productivity, while at the same time reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 30 to 50%.

Commenting on the launch, Smaine Nasri, Sales Director, Port Activity and Middle East Area, Gaussin Manugisitique added: “This is our latest product and we are proud to be launching it in Dubai.  The Middle East market represents for us 25% of our market share. We witnessed 12% market growth was coming from the Middle East compared to 5% in Europe during the past 5 years. Having one of our major product launches at SITL Dubai 2009 represents an ideal way to leverage our brand and share expertise with our peers."

The first SITL to be held in Dubai has to date received wide interest from industry leaders from more than 10 countries. Regional and international industry leaders such as DP World, Schenker, JAFZA, TNT or Port of Sohar have also confirmed attendance.
