Country: China , India
Client(s):

Injazat, the leading information technology and business process managed services provider in the UAE and the Middle East, in partnership with the INSEAD Centre for Executive Education and Research, held a seminar titled “The Magic of Growth and the Transformation of the Global Economy” on October 18, 2009 at the INSEAD Abu Dhabi Centre.

The session, led by Ilian Mihov, INSEAD Professor of Economics, the Novartis Chaired Professor of Management and Environment, provided a framework for understanding the growing interconnected world economy and the impact of the financial crisis especially for developing countries. It explored the problems and prospects posed by new growth centers such as China, India, Brazil, Russia, Vietnam and Turkey.

“The global economy is undergoing radical shifts that have profound and long-term effects on national development and industrial growth. Although the Middle East has not been as hard hit as the rest of the world, it needs to acquire a better understanding of the forces that either impede or accelerate progress. The IT industry in particular should be aware of how the crisis has changed business priorities and opened up fresh opportunities,” said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.
