Presentation for DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ on Project’s Design Challenges

DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, one of the largest urban development projects in Bahrain and the main sponsor of the Bahrain International Property Exhibition 2009 (BIPEX 2009), gave a technical presentation yesterday evening (15 October) entitled "Challenges in the Design of DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ project ", part of a series of seminars planned during the 3-day exhibition at the Bahrain International Exhibition and organized by the Bahrain Society of Engineers.

The session was presented by Daniel Chatley, Development Director at DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, the unique master-planned city which encompasses urban planning and management. Mr. Chatley highlighted various challenges faced during the design phase and how to the project’s environmental, infrastructure and other facilities were integrated, as well as contingency plans to cope with any future challenges.
The presentation was followed by an open Q&A session from the large audience which included exhibition’s participants, academics, developers, media representatives, real estate experts, and members of Bahrain Society of Engineers.
