More than 550 Dulsco employees recently participated in the Stand Up and Take Action Against Poverty Campaign, which was held worldwide between October 16th – 18th, 2009.  During the event, Dulsco, one of the leading service providers of manpower outsourcing and waste management services in UAE and Qatar, launched a food and water wastage reduction and education campaign for its employees at company accommodations.

More than 173 million people participated in the campaign, including 64,641 from the UAE.  The purpose of the 3-day event was to raise awareness and generate action to end poverty by 2015; with many children, businessmen and VIPs reading pledges and donating food supplies to help underprivileged people throughout the world.

Johnson Alexander, Director of Human Resources and Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) at Dulsco - who led the pledge and addressed the gathering - said:   “We have a long history in the UAE, and we have been part of the UAE’s growth for more than 7 decades.  As such, our food and water wastage reduction and education campaign underscores our commitment to the development of our community, and highlights our role as a socially responsible organisation.”
