Al Salam Road Update: Expansion work on Al Saada Bridge

November 01, 2009
Country: UAE
Client(s): Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM)

Abu Dhabi Municipality, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, announced that the expansion work on the Eastern Ring Road has already started. The particular area affected is from Al Saada Bridge until Street Number 29 that connects the Eastern Ring Road with Muroor Street at the PepsiCo zone. Three lanes on both directions will remain open to traffic in order to avoid inconvenience to motorists plying the route. This phase, which is expected to be completed in May 2009, is part of the development of Al Salam Street and the Eastern Ring Road.

Abu Dhabi Municipality has taken all the necessary measures such as placing clear road signs and barriers to ensure the safety of motorists and keep traffic smooth flowing. ADM continues to collaborate with various government agencies to effectively solve traffic problems and ensure the comfort of Abu Dhabi motorists, pedestrians and residents until the road infrastructure developments are done.

Al Salam Street Projects are in line with Plan Abu Dhabi 2030—the long-term vision committed to fostering the economic and social development of the capital. The initiative further establishes Abu Dhabi’s position as a truly modern metropolis on par with the best in the world. Al Salam Street Projects are a result of the cooperation between ADM, Urban Planning Council, Department of Transport and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police.
