I am against the capital punishment as a matter of principle. However, raping and killing children are heinous crime and severe punishment is justified (not the capital punishment).

I am not a fan of any Arab government. They are ruthless, uncivilized and arrogant. Having said that does not mean that western countries are great. Most of the problems in the world are caused by western countries for their thirst of raw material of the 3rd world countries.

In order to keep their standard of living, western countries have deprived the third world their well being by installing their puppet government. They will invade or bombed a country which refuses to submit to them.

Regards, JB

To Arthur: I’m not a big fan of Saudi either. But to judging from own experience I can compare UAE where legislation mostly based on Sharia laws and “democratic and civilized” Russia. Here I would never worry about my family and kids going anywhere any time, even in midnight. In Russia I would never go out when it’s dark without a knife and always keeping my hand on it when any group of young people approaching. Young guys, especially members of criminal groups just grab young girls from the night streets of city and do you think they report? I prevented one case of my University group mate.

Western mass media is trying to create Islam-phobia just to justify their wars. But if you think and compare things being free of stereotypes it makes you have different conclusions rather when you pumped up with hatred created by single sided media. What for you is the biggest act of terror: 9/11 in US or nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan made by US?

To Malik:

I'm not a big fan of the US either so don't assume that I proclaim it to be an ideal place. But how can you compare an open society's statistics with one that is like Saudi? You assume that rape doesn't happen that much in Saudi because you don't have statistics and you don't get to hear/read about it? Ask the Asian embassies how many housemaids hide with them because their bosses were sexually abusing them. And the hard part is, this does not get reported to the police and the media. These girls are deported penniless and abused. No justice there. No statistics for you - hence, your idea that you live in a society that is so perfect all because of your capital punishment.

Imagine your family member getting raped, and you can't even get to talk to the police and you don't see it in the news. Now that's your perfect world.

To Mr. Paul, Are you in the riight mind? Are you pro criminals? What logic do you have to side with this rapist? Are you one of them? Sorry to say you are out of your mind. RAPIST DO NOT DESERVE TO LIVE IN ANY SOCIETY!

This goes to Paul, you should not mention abusive words like (stupid). it seems you have no manners.
If you ask a good christian, What is the difference between a drunkard and a heavy drinker, he/she will answer "No difference".
So I put the question again, What is the difference between Paul and Criminals ? "answer "No difference", because he supports it.
You should be investigated Paul. You dont fit to be in the society.

To Arthur:
Please have a look ta US rape statistics where every day 300 women are being raped, which makes every 5th woman in US. It happens there every 6 min. Strict punishment to criminals does work. Just imagine that happened to a member of your family....

Dear Friend Arthur,

Saudi Arabia, the land where our glorious religion Islam was born, follows the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and strictly adheres to the Islamic Law of Shariah. Solitary confinement are modern day (man-made) laws in western and non-Islamic countries, an Islamic country shall never ever follow modern day (man-made) laws when there are prescribed punishments well documented in the Islamic religious ures.

Hi Arthur,

Forty is indeed a big number of crimes, look within your society how many do occur daily and how many are convicted/prisoned, while amongst them how many are walking free in the streets. You have a high crime rate in your society and hardly able to keep track, you can hardly walk freely alone at night or day nor allow your children play at playgrounds. You need to appreciate society that does not tolerate crime.

It's funnier when people want the whole world to follow what they believe is the correct way of doing things.

It gets hilarious when the same people want the world to do everything their way.

The simple truth is that people do things differently depending on their influence of social, cultural and religious beliefs and practices.

Capital punishment (involving mutilation here) is a highly debatable topic and no one side can claim to be the most logical or morally right.

What one can highlight is the quality of legal defense provided to the individual, and the procedures that were followed in building the case against the alleged suspect.

I would like to point out that this is not necessarily a matter of difference of opinion between the east and the west. Not when you consider that the one thing Saudia shares with USA (Texas in particular) is the number of people executed each year.

Peace.

Hello,
Paul is a confused person. He is mixing his personal hatred of Muslims and their law. I only have this to say to you :

We do not entertain rapists and criminals. Look back from wherever you are and all you can see from within you is a society lavished with crime and hatred. Stop bullying our faith.
