Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates and Vindemia Art & Antique gallery to Bring Hollywood Glamour

Much before the celebrities from across the globe grace the red carpet at the Dubai International Film Festival in December 2009, Vindemia Art & Antiques Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition that will showcase an exclusive collection of Hollywood posters & collectibles at Aspen in Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.  The exhibition will open with a reception on November 9 at 6.00 pm and run until November 16, 2009, daily from 11.00 am until 9.00 pm

“This is the first time such an extensive exhibition has been presented in the Middle East, and we are honoured that Aspen is the location to host this outstanding retrospective,” said Holger Schroth, General Manager, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.

The exhibition will showcase an extensive collection of around 500 personally autographed posters of Hollywood celebrities including Charlize Theron, John Travolta, Al Pacino, Gene Hackman, Sylvester Stallone, Whoopi Goldberg, Sean Connery, Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson, John Travolta and Antonio Banderas. There will also be some Oscar memorabilia all signed by the stars.

Fans of pop icons can plaster their walls at home with autographed posters of the flamboyant Elvis Presley, the phenomenonal Michael Jackson, the imitable Sting, Sonny & Cher, the Sopranos, Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand. For the serious pop enthusiasts, there is a song sheet autographed by Elvis Presley and a guitar signed by Tom Jones.

Some posters of the most powerful world leaders and controversial politicians will also be showcased at the exclusive exhibition including former US Presidents; Jimmy Carter, Ronald Regan, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. One can also browse through old clippings from “New York Times’ regarding world leaders.
And that’s not all, antique collectors can tune themselves to jukeboxes from the 1940’s, old vinyl records, bakelite records, a amazing new collection of antique gramophones, phonographs and radios from the 19th and early 20th century.
