Based on IBM’s WebSphere portal, the JD Edwards system provides a highly secure, interactive and single point of information access to suppliers, business partners and customers. ALFalak’s online users will now be able to more efficiently monitor and manage Sales Order Status, Shipment Status, Shipment Delivery and other critical information. The system is expected to boost sales by providing a secure, highly available and convenient platform for placing orders.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne features portal interoperability standards to simplify configuration and deployment and security options such as Single Sign-On, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and a native application security program which users can combine. ALFalak will be able to develop its own portlets through the solution’s catalogue of pre-built portlets for common business processes and integrated development tools. The company’s managers can use the tools and information to oversee various employee activities, reduce or eliminate paperwork and minimise human intervention in repetitive processes.
