H.E. Dr. Fahd Bin Abulrahman Balghunaim, Saudi Minister of Agriculture, has on (13 Zul Al-Qi`dah, 1430 H / November 1, 2009) led the inauguration of "Saudi Agriculture 2009" and "Saudi Agro-Food 2009", which are being concurrently held from 13 to 16 Zul Al-Qi`dah, 1430 H / November 1 to 4, 2009 at the newly completed Riyadh International Exhibition Centre. The back-to-back trade exhibitions have attracted more than 500 local, regional and international exhibitors from over 30 countries.
Saudi Agriculture 2009 and Saudi Agro-Food 2009 will showcase a premium selection of state-of-the-art technology, machinery, equipment and products in the agriculture and agro-food industries. The twin events, which have been fully booked, will occupy a total of 15,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space and up to 5,000 sqm of outdoor exhibition grounds at the state-of-the-art Riyadh International Exhibition Centre. Riyadh Exhibitions Company pointed out that up to 80 per cent of participants in the exhibitions are from Saudi Arabia.

"Saudi Agro-Food 2009 – The 16th International Trade Show for Food Products, Processing and Packaging Technologies" will feature the latest products, technologies and services in areas ranging from frozen and chilled foods, confectionery, dates and health and natural foods, to presentation, processing and packaging equipment.
