Man beat family for 18 yrs to exorcise 'jinn'

DUBAI - Police in Saudi Arabia have arrested a man from Taif for allegedly subjecting his wife and children to physical abuse for 18 years to exorcise the spirit with which he believed they were possessed, the daily Saudi Gazette reported on Monday.

The man, who was not named, believed his wife and three sons were possessed by a “jinn”, a supernatural being in Islam, the newspaper reported.

He allegedly beat them while reciting verses from the Koran in an effort to vanquish the “jinn”. He would allegedly lock his family in their home and confiscate their phones until signs of physical abuse had disappeared, the paper said.

Treat your wife as your body. Then only you becomes a husband. Wife is not a substance to be beaten. Children are at your mercy, but a day will come when you are at the mercy of your children. One who want to drive evil spirit should have the authority on them. Then you have to just say "leave". But you should be a person overcoming fleshy traits like anger, lust, greed, jealousy etc

We are living in such a world that truth never exposes. If you want to drive out an evil spirit from somebody, you should be a person who can overcome fleshy character like anger, greed, lust, jealousy etc. If you torture your dependents, because they are helpless, that means really devil is working in you to harass them. Later you may have to regret and live in guilt feeling, which is also devil's tool.
