DUBAI - Low-cost carrier FlyDubai on Monday announced two aircraft financing deals worth $160 million for two Boeing 737-800 aircraft received in May.The airline has signed an $80 million deal with Dublin-based Macquarie AirFinance and another $80 million deal with Dubai Islamic Bank, it said.
FlyDubai said it has also signed a $22 million, 10-year agreement with Goodrich Corp to supply wheels and brakes for the 54 737s it has on order.
The airline, which launched in May, operates a fleet of five 737s and will receive another aircraft next month.
FlyDubai flies to eight destinations and will add its ninth when it begins flights to Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on Nov. 20.
