David Westley was previously the editorial director of the online division of Dubai-based publisher ITP, responsible for business and current affairs website ArabianBusiness.com. He previously worked for Dow Jones Financial News in the UK, daily newspaper Gulf News in Dubai and was the GM of Dubai-based DIT, the publisher of PC Magazine and Forbes ME. He has an MBA from the UK’s Cranfield School of Management, postgrad degree from the UK-based Chartered Institute of Marketing and honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and International Studies.

Dylan Bowman is a UK journalist who has worked in the industry for seven years, three of which have been spent in the Middle East. Prior to joining Maktoob Business, Dylan was deputy editor of ArabianBusiness.com, a business and current affairs website, and a senior reporter for IT Weekly, a regional business technology magazine. In the UK Dylan worked as a freelance journalist for the Sunday Express, a national weekly newspaper, and before that as a senior reporter for the Bedfordshire on Sunday, a local weekly newspaper. Dylan has also worked for the Big Issue, a London weekly culture and entertainment magazine.

Rajiv Sekhri has worked for global newswire Reuters in Frankfurt, Toronto and London, covering business and general news. He studied and worked in the United States before joining Reuters in London in 1999 where he worked until 2008. He speaks English, Hindi and German.

Formerly chief reporter and defence writers for the award-winning UK newspaper Western Morning News, Peter's experience as a UK journalist spans a decade - with additional stints at national weekly newspapers the Mail on Sunday and Sunday People, and the bi-weekly South London Press. Peter is NCTJ and Trinity Mirror certified and has a degree in communications.

Shakir Husain has 15 years of experience in journalism of which he spent 12 years in the Gulf. Before joining Maktoob Business, he worked for three and half years with Dubai’s Gulf News as a business reporter. Earlier he worked as assistant editor of Bahrain-based Oil and Gas News weekly and as business reporter and sub-editor with Sharjah’s Gulf Today. He started his career in New Delhi with the Asian Age, a multi-edition daily, and held the position of senior sub-editor. He received his education in India and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a master’s degree in political science.

Award winning journalist Ernest Torriero was formerly senior correspondent at the Chicago Tribune, specialising in foreign and business news. Torriero set up the newspaper's Baghdad bureau, and reported from Iraq before, during and after its invasion. At the Tribune Torriero was part of a team that won a Pulitzer prize, the highest honour in U.S. journalism. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame, and a MSJ in Journalism from Northwestern University.
