AlWaseet International (AWI) took a significant step forward this week when they signed their initial franchise agreement with The Middle Advertisement Limited, Nigeria, during the Ifra 2nd Newspaper Publishing Conference in Abu Dhabi. With coverage that currently extends to nine countries the alWaseet classified which has both Arabic and English versions, is already read by 20 million every week.
According to Bashar Kiwan, CEO of Alwaseet International, “Continued corporate expansion is high on our priority list as we drive the business forward. It is our aim to have100 operations by the year 2012 in the MENA area and beyond, and it is partly through franchising that we will achieve this. The Ifra conference is the perfect platform for us to launch this initiative as we are able to reach many of the key players in the industry.”
