The Abu Dhabi based temporary du service centre has opened on 1 March 2007 at the Abu Dhabi Marina Mall to cater to the increased demand of 055 MY NUMBER customers in the capital.
Osman Sultan, Chief Executive Officer of du welcomed senior management of Marina Mall including Nadeem Wajahat, General Manager of Marina Mall and Rajeev Lee, Assistant General Manager and Head of Marketing, who were among the first customers to receive du SIM cards.
Commenting on the opening of the second temporary service centre Sultan said: “It is our privilege to welcome our esteemed customers to the service centre in UAE’s capital city. Our efforts are always aimed at providing the maximum comfort and convenience to customers and the temporary service centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have been created to support all other du outlets during our very fist days of shop operations in response to an overwhelming customers’ response.”
The service centers will run from 1-8 March, 2007 and will be operational from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
“We’re excited to be hosting another home-grown brand on our premises,” said Wajahat, “Our unique location, facilities and shopper profile provide companies to take full advantage of showcasing their products at the Mall.
“We are proud to accommodate du during their launch period,” he added.
A total 80 assistants in Abu Dhabi, fluent in Arabic, English and Hindi, are present to assist consumers and ensure a smooth operational experience.
One of the du customers’ in Abu Dhabi, Ali Salim al Rowahi, a UAE national says; “It is exciting to have a second operator in the country and I would definitely like to try them. They have some excellent offers particularly the ‘thank you’ offer for someone like me who booked through the number booking campaign, where I’m exempted from paying the line monthly fee for three years among other savings.”
Dawood Salim, another new du customer who has booked a whole range of du products for his entire family says; “This is a national company and I wish it all the success. There will be teething problems but this is expected from a new provider. However we are patient and willing to give it a chance. There is competition and du will have to work towards getting better market share with a focus on superior service and products.
du service centres have been set up as additional temporary outlets that support the 11 du shops across the UAE. Customers also have the option of payment through the website www.du.ae and through 90 premium dealer outlets which are Axiom, Alltronix, Emirates Computers, EROS, Fono, Jacky's, Jumbo, One Mobile, Plug-Ins, RadioShack & Telefonika.
