Standard Chartered was honoured for its continued commitment to Emiratisation by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council, and Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of the UAE Human Resource Development Committee in the Banking and Financial sector, by receiving the Human Resource Development Award (HRD Award) at the annual Sharjah Career Fair that takes place between March 5 and 7 at Sharjah Expo Centre.
Both His Highness and Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer presented Standard Chartered’s Chief Executive Officer, UAE, Nigel Jones with the HRD Award; the United Arab Emirates most prestigious Emiratisation Award for organisations in the banking and financial sectors.
Nigel Jones commented “Harnessing local talent and Emiratisation is an integral part our on-going commitment to the UAE. Standard Chartered has also partnered with several educational institutes and organisations in the UAE, to help develop these talents in the marketplace.”
Standard Chartered consistently exceeds nationalisation targets set by the UAE government, and the most recent award only adds to numerous other government awards the bank has won for its commitment and contribution to Emiratisation.
