Metabo Germany, a global power tools specialist, marked its commitment to the Emirates with the unveiling of the Porsche Design Multihammer P’7911. Metabo also introduced Sedana Trading Company as the exclusive distributor for their power tools for individuals and industry professionals in the UAE.

Metabo International Division for Operations Overseas is in the process of developing an efficient Metabo regional platform for the Middle East countries, as well as India, to be run through Dubai which will operate as the regional hub.

Commenting on Metabo’s decision to establish regional presence, Hermann Hirsch, Executive President Operations Overseas and Member of Metabo Board of Directors, Metabo Corporation Germany, said “Metabo has a history of high quality and innovation worldwide and we felt that these qualities mirrored the expectations of consumers in this region. Whether it is automobiles, furniture or electronics, we found a genuine want for premium quality products and this is something that Metabo proudly excels in. The launch of the Porsche Design Multihammer P’7911 now gives design purists precision coupled with advanced technology in their power tools.”

Winner of the Design category at the recent Plus X Awards 2007 – Europe’s largest technology competition, Metabo’s Porsche Design Multihammer P’7911 combines all the essential functions of a drill with the power of a pneumatic hammer. It has a unique housing made of genuine carbon fibre and aluminium, with the handle mounted on top of the housing for improved ergonomics, making the P’7911 very natural and easy to operate. Moreover, the hammer lies directly under the operator’s hand, thus ensuring a stable centre of gravity and therefore feels lighter than comparable power tools. In addition, thanks to the hammer’s special design, the perfect balance reduces pivoting at the drill tip.

The 705 watt Porsche Design Multihammer P’7911 drills into concrete, stone, wood and steel, with just one switch for conveniently selecting all the different functions. Its five settings – hammer drilling, drilling without hammer action for the first or second speed, chiselling and screwdriving – make short work of all the jobs arising in the home or the jobsite. The multihammer is also equipped with a quick chuck change, progressively variable speed and a high-performance pneumatic impact mechanism.

“We endeavour to deliver the best products for both private and commercial consumers which mean we rely on our distribution partners in overseas operations,” added Hirsch.

“Our long standing relationship with Sedana for the UAE reflects this market focus as we sought out a company that was well established and actively engaged in supplying, installing and servicing equipment and tools. With their backing in the U.A.E. we are confident that Metabo will hold the same premium position in the Middle East as it does in the global arena,” commented Charles Constantin, General Manager, Metabo Middle East.

Having additionally established independent distribution partnerships in Kuwait, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, Metabo is committed to developing its partner relationships and to establishing itself as the premium power tools specialist as it looks to expand and solidify its brand reputation across the region.
