Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Singapore is gearing up for Asia’s first-ever F1 Grand Prix street circuit, as official ticket sales kicked off to the excitement of Middle East racing fans, who are looking forward to one of the international racing industry’s most exciting events to date.
Three-day passes to the 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix were officially launched last week for sale by race promoter Singapore GP. A total of 70,000 tickets are available in its first release, including 15,000 walkabout passes and 55,000 grandstand seats strategically located around the circuit.
The world-class affair is already set to be one of the most dramatic and atmospheric events on the international racing calendar, with plans in place to be the first race in the history of the championship to be held at night, and the first street circuit held in Asia.
The three-day passes are priced from AED435 for a walkabout to AED3600 for the premier Pit Grandstand. These passes include a separate ticket for each race day at a special package price that offers savings of at least 15% over buying individual day tickets.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis and each customer will be allowed to purchase a maximum of eight tickets. A three-day pass can be used by three different people over the three days. However, tickets will not be interchangeable on the same day.

Tickets and Passes can be purchased via the official website www.singaporegp.sg. The website also includes descriptions of all the Grandstand locations, pricing and a seating chart. Tickets are also available via the dedicated ticket hotline on +65 6738 6738. The call centre is open from 1000 to 2000 hours Monday to Friday, and from Noon to 1800 hours on Weekends.
