Carrefour, operated by Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets, has teamed up with Egypt's Ministry of Environment to launch the Small Change Big Difference ecological initiative in its hypermarkets across the country. The hypermarket chain said that from the end of the month, shoppers at Carrefour's outlets in the Alexandria City Centre, Maadi City Centre and Dandy Mall will be encouraged to use the environmentally friendly, reusable bags as a substitute to plastic bags. The move follows the overwhelming success of Carrefour's initiative in its hypermarkets across the GCC.
