UAE: Jeweller Damas yesterday listed its shares on the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX) after raising $270.6 million in an initial public offering. Damas, the first retailer to be listed on the exchange, made a good start to its DIFX career, gaining five per cent on its starting price to close its first day of trading on dhs1.05. The firm plans to use its share of the net proceeds from the IPO mainly to expand its store network.
