The journey of Damas began in 1907, when the first shop was established. Damas Jewellery LLC, a U.A.E based company, has grown and expanded over the years, from a company with a humble beginning into an internationally based fashion jewellery network. The key to its success has been a visionary creativity, an inspirational leadership, a dedicated workforce and a lot of sincere hard work.
The President of the company, Mr. Mohd. Taher Abdullah has helmed the company since 1945, and his experience and vision have provided tremendous inspiration over the years. In 1980 Mr. Tawfique Abdullah, Mr. Tawhid Abdullah and Mr. Tamjid Abdullah joined the company, all of whom share the responsibility for the running and the expansion of Damas.
Today, Damas has a trade network that spans far and wide around the world. Outlets can be found in the U.S.A, Lebanon, Qatar, Jordan, Maldives, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, the Sultanate of Oman, and throughout all the GCC countries. Its contemporary image and superb infrastructure, have allowed it to house a magnificent array of internationally acclaimed jewellery brands, such as Carrera Y Carrera, Laurentia, Baraka, Mikimoto, Fope, Chimento, Faberge, Pomellato, Roberto Coin, Scavia, and many more. Damas also houses some of the most distinguished brands in the watch arena, such as Chanel, Chaumet, Bell & Ross, Barthelay, Omega, Waltham, Montega, Bedat & Co., Vacheron Constantin, Marina B, and many more.
The innovative in-house Collections, majestic bridal jewellery, exclusive branded jewellery and quality consciousness, have led to an international reputation and many prestigious awards, including the elusive De Beers Award 2000, for jewellery designing.
As well as winning numerous awards, Damas prides itself on being part of the celebrations within the community and is also involved in the sponsorship of many high profile events and fashion shows. The face of Damas has changed over the years, from the Super Model Claudia Schiffer, to the Miss World 2000, Yukta Mookhey, and the company continues to develop and expand internationally at a pace.
In the world of sports, Damas was involved in the Arab Basketball Champion's Clubs Tournament and hosted the second Damas Jewellery Snooker Championships. Damas also sponsors the U.A.E based Al Ali football Club, and is the team sponsor for Damas Lamborghini power boat, in the Formula 1 Championship.

Stemming from this, Damas has a justifiable enviable workforce, the sales team members are all experts of their relevant fields, enabling them to maintain the outstanding quality of service that Damas customers have come to expect.
On the Retail level, Damas has over 75 outlets conveniently located in every major shopping mall and 5-star hotel within the UAE, and over 25 internationally based outlets, catering for the tastes of both the 18kt and the 22kt clientele.
Along with 2 Tiffany & Co. stores located in Dubai, Damas has launched the Les Exclusive Boutiques range aimed at the high-end clientele, throughout the UAE. These stylish and luxurious Boutiques, house some of the most spectacular and unique jewellery, and watches available anywhere in the world.
