Main function of job:
To drive strategic and tactical marketing initiatives in the Middle East region to help grow distribution and develop relationships. The role will focus on defining, developing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans and campaigns, together with managing a small marketing team.
The position is central to the rapidly growing and commercially led business and offers the potential for the successful candidate to proactively contribute to the success of the marketing function as a whole.
Main accountabilities:
" Proactive development and delivery of strategic marketing plans for the region, working closely with the rest of the Commercial team to ensure plans are co-ordinated and best practice is shared.
" To support and help deliver other Commercial projects in the region as agreed with the Commercial Director and the Regional Director, Middle East.
" In conjunction with the local distribution teams, develop and deliver a range of tactical marketing and communication activities, to help achieve business targets and support proposition and other new business developments in the region.
" Ensure new proposition developments are effectively launched into the region by developing take-to-market plans for both internal and external audiences.
" Manage the development and delivery of regional Arabic print, ensuring adherence to compliance, regulatory and brand standards and ongoing availability of relevant marketing support literature. Manage the local print, warehousing and distribution of regional, English language literature.
" Event management to support product and fund launches, ongoing broker seminars and additional ad hoc events.
" Work with the central PR team to deliver effective and proactive regional PR activity and manage the relationship with the ME appointed PR agency.
" Collate and communicate relevant product, investment and market information to brokers and clients in a timely and relevant manner.
" Management of budget and forecasting of marketing activity in the region ensuring financial control and cost effectiveness of all spending
Requirements:
" Graduate or relevant professional qualification.
" At least 5 years specific post graduate experience.
" Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and associated products, particularly the offshore industry.
" Thorough knowledge of tactical/campaign marketing planning and delivery in a distribution support environment.
" Good project management skills.
" Broad commercial knowledge and sound business acumen.
" Strong analytical and investigative skills.
" Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
" Good negotiation, presentation and leadership skills.
" Use initiative, be proactive and self-motivated.
" Knowledge of the Middle East region would be an advantage, but not essential.
